Which Route Do You Choose?

The easier route or the more challenging route?

Which Route Do You Choose?Which is your default decision?

When you select the easier route, odds are you will not be challenged or tested to do anything you haven’t done before. You may even be able to predict with fairly reasonable accuracy how long it will take to finish this easy route.

By selecting the more challenging route you know you’ll be tested.

Either physically tested or mentally tested or both. You have no idea how much time will be needed to complete the more challenging route.

Now which one would you choose?

Many thought leaders support taking the challenging route. This is the route where you will learn and grow. You will likely face some failures.

Today, failure is no longer a bad thing, no it is instead worn like a badge of courage. Fail fast and fail often that is the road to success, we are told.

Oh, but it is so much more comfortable just taking the easier route. That’s why most people select the easier route in every daily decision they make.

So here’s the question for today – is the fact that a majority of people do in fact choose the easier path, the main reason for the lowering of average here in the USA?

Think about it.

When jobs are plentiful the aspect of competition to get a job goes out the window.

Interview Question #1: So, can you fog a mirror?

Answer: You mean breathe, sure?

Interviewer: Great! You’re hired, you start tomorrow! Congrats!

Now add this to the covid lockdowns stunting the ability of people to communicate with each other in person. And what you have is a downward spiral in overall development.

When it become less challenging we all lose.

We lose innovative thinking. New ways of doing everything. Not only new to right now, new as in never been done that way before.

Sure you may think you’re happier taking the easy route all the time.

Or you may be ready to explore and rethink how you do everything.

When you’re ready to explore reach out – Let’s talk.
