Halloween decorations were on display in stores like Target right after they put away the July Fourth items.
Kids can’t wait to go out as their favorite superhero and collect as much candy as possible from their neighbors.

Which brings up my question – What costume are you wearing?
Go to the comments section right now and let us all know. You’ve certainly thought it over and spent either your time or money on your costume.
Have some serious fun with it! Show your real personality hidden within your costume!
Now why back in the real world and day to day why do many people hide behind a costume?
Don’t you find many people put on a personality, like a costume, depending upon the situation they’re in and the people they’re around?
Is this a form of protection?
A way to appear more powerful?
I don’t know.
What I do know is that it doesn’t serve them well. We are each unique beings and the unique attributes we each have is the value we each bring to the table in whatever we do.
There’s a story that explains people started to wear costumes, for Halloween, with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. People lit bonfires and put on costumes to scare off roaming ghosts and spirits.
The belief was that on Halloween ghosts came back to Earth to haunt anyone who left their homes.
Interesting story… so who is haunting the corporate halls where daily there are people who work there wearing their costume?
Maybe they’re on zoom most of the time now and it is possibly easier to create a costume. Or maybe it’s more difficult, and humanizes people who may have seemed cold, stiff or powerful before – now their dog or child runs into the room while they are on a work call or in a serious sales meeting makes them seem more human.
Keep the costumes for Halloween and have fun with them.
Be who you are in life, in business and with all people.
Don’t force others to change. They have a right to be who they are as you do to be who you are. That’s the beauty of living in the USA.

The purpose is to compile these stories in order to share the information with others. The stories will inspire others, help them with tips for handling what they are going through now and what they may face in the future. It may even become a go to resource for stroke survivors and their families.
