In the crazy and busy world we all live in every single day – do you take time to write?
There is something special about the written word. Meaning you are actually holding a writing instrument in your hand and writing on paper in a journal, a notebook or a pad of paper. It’s a hand eye connection through the brain as your eyes see your own thoughts written out by your own hand holding a writing instrument.
It’s not the same as typing out your thoughts on any electronic device – period.
People are discovering meditation or are continuing their practice of meditation which they began during the Covid-19 years.
‘Me time’ is a thing for young parents as they carve out a few minutes each day for themselves.
I encourage each of you to join me and spend a few minutes each day thinking and writing.
Start with five minutes a day and see what happens.
Write out whatever you’re thinking.
You may find this time to be calming and relaxing as there is no topic, no deadline, no agenda – it’s you and your thoughts and a pen and paper.
Give this effort one full month – every day for at least five or ten minutes.
See if something starts happening inside you and you keep on doing this maybe for longer periods of time. Maybe you even start going deeper into a story or your thoughts.
Let me know how you’re making out as you do this.
