In my previous article I asked what you’re reading this summer. If you missed the article you may find it here: https://mitchtublin.com/reading-this-summer/
Start Your Day the Healthy Way
Each morning after my workout and shower, I have what I believe is a healthy shake. Not one filled with protein, however, much healthier than a glass of juice. It’s a mixture of a few liquids: strawberries, blueberries, banana, kale, organic greens and a red beet powder.
The recipe is at the end of this article if you would like to try it out.
My question for you today is: Are you like the strawberries in this recipe?
Each day you start out and are part of someone else’s recipe. And then you begin… first it’s on your handheld device, your iPad, or your laptop or pc and your day becomes like any other day.
Emails, phone calls, social media… your day is like being in the blender on high speed and you are an ingredient in someone else’s mixture.
Plus you are jumping from one meeting or zoom call to another in between everything else. Then you stop for a second and remember,
“Oops, was I supposed to be physically in the office today?”
Of course on the days when it’s required to be in the office everyone drives now. Sure climate change matters, however, we can have our privacy, make a few phone or zoom calls, so why use mass transit?
Which translates to traffic on the roads that is heavier and more jam packed than ever before.
Meaning that what may have been a twenty minute to a half hour drive now takes an hour and a half. So the days when going to the office – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – the round trip commute is an absolute nightmare of three hours of wasted time.
Plus since everyone is texting and on zoom calls instead of paying attention and driving, it seems like there are more accidents on the roads than ever before too.
Raise your hand if any of this sounds like you!
Yep, I see you.
For today, my answer is simple.
At least try to start your day with Mitch’s Morning Mixture the healthy way to start your day.
