Here is a question for you – when you started out in your business, your career, your adult life awareness that it is all on you…
Did you begin with your focus on building a strong foundation?
It’s okay, most people probably say, “No. not really”, and a few may say, “I already had one”.
For the few there’s a good chance the basis of their strong foundation is from their faith, their family and their values. FFV if you like.
Now to have FFV you don’t have to have these starting out although it certainly helps.
Anyone with the desire and the persistence will have the potential to create in themselves the faith in their ability to propel themselves forward toward the goals they’ve determined to attain. By combining all of these with the values necessary to proceed continually on their path they will have the best shot.
A certainty is – No One Can Give These To You!
By earning these through your own efforts they will remain yours forever. The process and proof of success in the process can be used over and over again with any endeavor you undertake. Whereas a gift, or the acceptance of a handout, becomes a crutch. It becomes something you depend upon and ultimately expect. The giver, over time, gains more and more control over you as your dependence grows on their handouts. It is a cycle of subtle ultimate control.
Ok, so you might be thinking, ‘what a bunch of B S this is way too complicated – the next thing coming is the ask for money to give me a ‘special’ book to recruit me into a cult.’
Sorry to disappoint you!
Let’s keep it simple – ok?
Take one phrase – ‘Treat others as you wish to be treated.”
Make that one of your values.
Do you always do that now? Seriously – think about it.
Driving yesterday across the Willis Ave. Bridge into Manhattan and that car cut you off, you slammed on the brakes and honked your horn a number of times, and then, you couldn’t believe it, they flipped you off! They flipped you off! Why that mother f***er!
No, no, not me – you’re saying to yourself – never do that, not me – well, wait there was this one time that guy on the bike…..
Let’s quiet our EGO for a few minutes.
Recognize that a good solid Foundation allows us to build upon it anything.
The Foundation must be inspected and taken care of to remain solid. What better way to do this than to surround ourselves with others who desire to create, solidify and have a solid Foundation? Does this interest you?
