Laying in the grass at a quiet park on a sunny day is so relaxing.
There’s a slight breeze and big puffy white cumulus clouds seem to be on parade for me in the blue sky. I may have even taken some blades of grass to munch on. It may have been a couple of hours or just ten minutes who can remember.
What was I then? About six years old?
When is the last time you fully relaxed?
Seemingly without a care or a worry in the world.
I encourage you to take the time to carve out a few days or more this summer for yourself. If you have family, a partner or spouse, kids, parents… all of you go somewhere with the intention to relax.
No internet, no tv, no laptop – or if you have to – limit the amount of connected time for everyone.
The people that study these things have said that at the height of the covid lockdowns the core of the earth, our planet, was the quietest in terms of vibration to it in their history of studying this information. Think about it – no one was going anywhere so no cars, no trains, no planes, no manufacturing, no noise and no vibrations. This did the earth good I’m sure.
So how about you?
With the frantic pace picking back up, with the constant new stories – true news or fake news – who knows we all need a real rest.
One might think, what a minute, after almost two years of being in a lockdown mode – now you’re saying to go and chill out somewhere?
Whaaada you from another planet!
Right, well clearly many, many people feel like you may feel as concert tickets cost amazing money and they’re selling out fast.
Flights to anywhere are getting filled 10% over available seats.
And just try to get a reservation at a popular restaurant in an area You’re visiting at the last minute – good luck!
Here’s the thing… during the covid lockdown period no one was chilling out and calmly relaxing.
Everyone was checking their newsfeed to learn what they could learn about the virus, trying to secure enough supplies to last a few days, trying to figure out what was going to happen with their work – so no one was relaxing and kicking back.
So yes, I’m asking and encouraging you to secure some days to allow you body and your mind to relax.
Enjoy a sunrise and a sunset out in the open. Hear the sounds of nature around you. Find that place for a couple of days.
Take care of your body and it will take care of you.

Do you know I’m interviewing stroke survivors, their spouse or partner as well?
The purpose is to compile these stories in order to share the information with others. The stories will inspire others, help them with tips for handling what they are going through now and what they may face in the future. It may even become a go to resource for stroke survivors and their families.
