Are you ready for halftime?
Ready or not the sixth month of the year is about to begin this coming week.
For some people the end of May and the beginning of June is the start of the summer.
The start of the summer meaning chill out, vacations, gatherings outdoors, parties and not so much focus on work. An interesting concept to read about, however, it’s not exactly behavior practiced by the people we are typically around – is it?
Each of us certainly take part in some of these fun activities while still actively running our main business and paying attention to our business. This means that this is the perfect time of the year to take a look at the plan and the goals we set out to achieve this year and to see where we are right now.
Here are a few questions to get you and your team started on the process:
Are we on course?
Are we off course?
How far off course?
In what exact areas are we on or off course?
Why On? Why Off?
What course corrections can we take to get us back on course?
Who will be taking the lead on each item?
Who will that person be accountable to?
Let’s set up a time line for realistic results.
There is nothing here that should seem overwhelming to anyone.
