Seriously, are you caught in the quicksand of stress and frustration?
This really applies to everything…for everyone doesn’t it?
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.”
— Mary Engelbreit
We each have our way and our views of how things should be.
Some have an even stronger viewpoint, as in, they view how things have to be!
A longer article is needed for how these views come to be, however, it’s a combination of upbringing from first life, surroundings through life, education from life and school and the people that have influenced any person in their life.
No one likes change.
Now imagine proposing to someone who doesn’t like change to change the way they think about something?
In actuality, this is the root cause of the majority of disagreements, falling outs, busted relationships and more.
“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”
If you had a choice to select a trail to hike and each of them were the same level of physical difficulty which of these would you choose:
1. A hiking path that is simple to follow.
2. A hiking path that is complicated to follow.
Remember each path has the same level of physical difficulty.
Why then in our own lives do we so often make things so complicated?
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
— Albert Einstein
Who has judged us? Who still judges us?
Stop listening to it.
Who do you judge?
“In seeking happiness for others, you will find it in yourself.”
Help others and you will find your own stress and frustration melt away.
In fact, you will appreciate what you know and what really matters to you.
“If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap. If you want happiness for a day — go fishing. If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a life time — help someone else.”
— Chinese proverb
This is a unique time in all of our lives.
It is a unique opportunity to connect with people. When you try it out authentically and openly with no other agenda – something special happens.
Works every time.
