If you start out each day without an agenda for your day, are you conducting your day like that too?
“I’ll just work on whatever comes up that I need to work on.”
This is what many of my clients initially tell me about how they conduct themselves each day.
Pick a card any card…
How are you able to measure your effectiveness in getting anything done?
Are you really making the best use of your time and knowledge doing the things that you are doing?
Would you be open to trying out another way to operate?
What if in the last 15 to 30 minutes of your day today you made a list of item statements that described important work that needed to be accomplished next week.
A few words for each item and in a list format. If there’s an urgency or a due date place that information on the same item line.
Once the list is done, note next to each item the items that you must do and no one else can possible do.
Now if there isn’t enough time today for completing this list, get it done by Sunday evening. On Sunday evening you will be setting up your Monday plan. This list will be of the items you will complete on Monday and the items you will delegate to others to complete including a due date.
There’s more, however, I’ll stop there.
Try this easy and simple method of organizing your day.
I guarantee you will accomplish more and feel more in control of your day as you continue to use this method.
