When did blowing leaves become a thing?
Seriously – do you have any idea how much money is generated by leaves being blown around?
First there is the equipment and these machines do come in all shapes and sizes. There are the type that really blow strongly and these are on wheels. There are other powerful blowers worn on your back like a backpack. Then there are smaller handheld blowers that no self-respecting landscaper would ever show up to a job with.
Not sure about you, but, in High School and in College there was money to be made raking leaves and shoveling snow for people.
We even had our regular clients who expected us to come by their homes and take care of the leaves and then the snow.
When did blowing leaves around become a thing?
Better yet – who came up with the idea?
Oh and now the funniest part – the leaf blowing tennis match between either home owners or landscapers. Each blows the leaves from one neighbors property to another neighbors property. There should be a chair umpire and an electronic scoreboard!
The point is this – not too long ago – no one – not a single person was blowing leaves around. The concept – the machines – the entire thought process was not a thing.
At some point one person paid attention to their thought – they paid attention to their idea. Then it all started – the blowing of leaves industry.
This is why my suggestion to you is to pay attention to your ideas.
When these thoughts pop into your mind, if you are not paying attention, they will be gone forever. One way to capture these thoughts is to keep a pad of paper and pen near you at all times.
Write a note when the thought comes to you. Jot down a few words is all you need to do. When you have time later that day you might expand the thought and write it out more completely.
You might consider for a moment why did this thought come into my mind just now?
This is a serious consideration. Maybe you are meant to have this idea. Even if you partially believe this definition you owe it to yourself to follow through on these ideas. If you do you will be a rare person. Few people record the ideas or thoughts they have which means even fewer ever follow through on the thoughts and ideas they have as they do not recall what they were!
In summary – take note of your ideas and then take action on them.
