It’s Really Not The End Of The World, Is It?

It’s Really Not The End Of The World, Is It?Ok if you’re not driving please sit down, place your hands comfortably in your lap and take a few deep breaths in and out through your nose.

Do this slowly – maybe even have your eyes closed few a few minutes while you’re doing this.

The idea is to get you to relax for a minute or three in your day.

Regardless if you stream your information sources, obtain them from the web or from chatting at a bar,
inflation, recession, Ukraine, climate change and more are the hot topics consuming everyone and
everything on a daily basis.

Oh, and there’s this thing called Covid and it’s various strains that won’t go away.

Take some more in and out breaths. Relax. This isn’t about that.

This is about mindset and behavior.

In our daily lives all we should spend our energy on is what we can control and what we may have an impact on. That’s it.

Outside of that we’re really just banging our head against the wall.

If you really enjoy people contact your family members and let them know how you feel about them.

If you have friends you care about reach out and see how they’re doing today.

Do you have people you work with that mean something to you? Engage in a conversation next time and
check in on how they are doing before the “at work” conversation starts.

Everyone is dealing with the same issues and hearing the same “news stories”.

The only difference is the mindset everyone has and how everyone’s behavior may change in response to what is heard.

In fact, not everyone even hears the same news story, the same way even if they hear it at the same time.

So what this means is that when you show empathy and reach out to people you will stand out as someone different and exceptional and who really cares about the person being spoken with.

The bonus for you is you will feel really good about these interactions.
