Your input determines your results.
“The quality of the input will eventually be understood in the value of the results.”
― Steven Redhead, Life Is a Dance
Here we have the classic look in the mirror situation. Did this ever happen to you? We take a look at our own naked body in the mirror. In horror, we mutter, where did this come from grabbing our belly.
Or turning around we note the butt we have is sagging a bit. Quickly the bathrobe goes back on and we look away from that mirror – down our first cup of coffee and then off to work we go.
Never mind that last night at the event we did not turn away from any of the appetizers which were all fried something or another – they were so good though! Especially dipped in the sauces they were served in – of course these sauces are all loaded with sugar!
There was even a craft beer bar at the event showcasing a dozen craft breweries from the area or nearby.
The networking was really good and it was all for a great cause. Did I mention the spread they had out for dessert?
I probably should have skipped the hot fudge sundae – how could I resist though.
You get the point – who hasn’t been there – done that.
Now anyone must realize that sooner or later if these are the inputs – the food, the beers, the desserts – the resulting output will be weight gain and not the toned muscle type of weight gain.
In general – it is apparently not that obvious to everyone as the USA has an obesity problem. Not the subject of this article – possibly a future one.
“Your health, wealth, position, performance, ability and attitude are the results of your decisions.”

Your input determines your results.
There is no magical pixie dust to sprinkle to give you or anyone what they want. It is the input that determines their results. Yes, ask any successful person, luck plays a role, timing plays a role, having a good network plays a role – ALL THAT BEING SAID – it is their input that ultimately determined their results.
“The vision you use determines the results you obtain.”
― Alan Cohen
Take the time each day or at least one day each week where you set aside an hour to review your vision, your mission and your goals you want to achieve. Take note of your progress and decide if you are making progress toward these. If you are not making progress what needs to change? If you are making progress are you doing so in the timeline your set out or too slowly?
Schedule the day and the one hour now to conduct this review.
