It’s the halfway month – June!
Wait! What?
I have enough fingers you’re saying to me.
June is the start, the very beginning of the sixth month.
The end of June will mark the end of the first half of the year.
Right… so I write about that fact and it’s published on July 5th, which is the Friday after the July 4th Holiday. The Friday after July 4th is the bridge to a wonderful 4 day or even 5 day weekend for many people in the USA. Prime beach going and family fun time. Parades and cookouts by the pool with friends.
The odds of anyone ever reading my article on July 5 are slim to none.
So I’m Writing About The Halfway Month of the Year Now.
Let’s get one of the classic questions to discuss out of the way right now.
Similar to the half filled glass – is the glass half full or is the glass half empty?
At the halfway month is there a half of a year remaining or is the year half over?
I want to think anything is possible in the future. With half a year remaining so much more may be accomplished. Others may view the results of the first half of the year as a foreboding of what may come in the second half of the year so they’re ready to throw in the towel right now.
Interesting – not really my kind of people.
In actual fact, if your business is keeping track or score of the essential performance metrics, you know where the business is and you are able to see where the actual trouble spots are located.
Because you and your team keep score, you are ready to take corrective action steps quickly in order to prevent a trouble spot from becoming a really destructive area in the business.
If you and your team are not proactively involved in measuring performance and keeping score in key areas, we should have a conversation about this topic. Because although the effort may seem daunting – it’s really not – the ROI and ultimate rewards are well worth the effort.
Let me know if you would like to chat and we will set it up.
