Almost everyone knows they should have an Annual Physical checkup.
Not everyone schedules and/or and has their Annual Physical checkup. Yes you know the drill – a blood test – possibly a chest X-ray – check through the physical statistics – touch and probe medically as necessary. These are the basics and it is called an Annual Physical checkup for a reason.
Here we are six months into the year coming to a close.
It is time for your half year checkup? You decide – is it for your business – is it for you personally on your goals and growth for the year – your department – it is up to you. Maybe you are seeking a new position.
How is that going for you?
All of these options have one thing in common. The first half of the year has gone by. Another thing they all have in common is there should be a plan and how is the plan going?
This is the point of the Half Year Checkup.
Check back on the goals and plan you created for the year. How did the first 2 quarters go? What do you need to change? How can you end this year strong?
What are you going to achieve in the second half?
After you have reviewed the first half of the year, it’s time to start planning the second half of the year. What are you going to improve upon? What goals did you set at the beginning of the year? How do those goals need to change? Be sure to set SMART goals
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Realistic
- Tangible
Taking action and implement your goals
Setting goals for the second half of the year after you review your first half is the first step. Then you need to take action. Take that first step.
Sometimes your fear may hold you back from taking action. They may be real or imagined fears. Fear is the biggest reason that most people never take the action they need to, even when it’s a great idea or concept.
Take that first step…and then the second! You’ll gain momentum and achieving your goals becomes less scary.
