Would You Go For Gold?

Would You Go For Gold? All over the world people are watching when the Olympic Games are taking place. The person or the team that wins the Gold Medal – these are the ones everyone pays attention to the most. Does this mean the others who were competing with them in the same event trained any less or worked out less or didn’t want it as much?

This is doubtful. Even to make it to the Olympic Games in a sport to represent your Country is a feat itself. There are a great many sacrifices in order to devote the time needed to practice, train, workout and eat a certain way depending upon your sport.

There are equipment issues and gear to wear issues and both must be resolved in order to be competitive at all. There is time away from family and friends. This is a brief summary of the journey for the Olympic athlete.

How about you? Would you ever strive to go for Gold?

What is your Gold Medal in your life? How about in your business?

Seriously, what is your equivalent of the Gold, to you? Are you going for it? What would it take to win it?

Take a few minutes and think about it. If you wish write it out in the comments area for this article – then come right back here. Maybe you can’t even think of what the Gold would be. Okay, rather than give you a free pass on this question, try this one.

What is a real reach goal for you in your personal life?

What would be a real reach goal for you in your career or business? Take a moment and consider the answers to these questions.

Here is the thing, when you define these items and state – write out – record somewhere what they are and that you are going to go for the Gold, it is the journey that is going to take you to the next level. This will be the reward not if you actually get the Gold or not. The effort to make it happen, to go for the Gold, is going to pay off for you in ways you cannot even imagine right now.

Take another look at those questions again and consider the growth in the journey that awaits you.

Are you ready to go for the Gold now?
