Turn Five Minutes Into GoldEveryone is on their tablet or smart phone looking at social media – LinkedIn – Twitter – Facebook – Snapchat – Instagram – YouTube and more…

You might think, “Oh, I just want to check on my friends…”

The next thing you know a couple of minutes becomes a couple of hours.

Recently while in Orlando during an event where I was speaking a few of us were discussing what might you do in five minutes in the morning and five minutes in the evening which would change everything. These five minutes would turn into Gold for anyone who would practice the techniques.

Here is what we came up with –

Do You Have Five Minutes In The Morning?

Write out three examples for each item –

  • First – I Am Grateful Today For…
  • Second – What Would Make Today Great…
  • Third – Say Daily Affirmations…

Do You Have Five Minutes in The Evening?

Write out three examples for each item –

  • First – What Amazing Things Happened Today?
  • Second – How Could I Have Made Today Even Better?
  • Third – Who Did I Add Value To Today?

 Would it be helpful if you had examples from me? Here is what I said yesterday:

Mitch Has Five Minutes In The Morning

First – I Am Grateful Today For

  • My family
  • Their Health and My Health
  • For The Opportunities Available To Us Because We Live In The United States of America

Second – What Would Make Today Great 

  • Meeting Ten People I Never Met Before
  • Bring A Smile To Each Of These Ten People
  • Adding Value To Each Of These Ten People

Third – Say Daily Affirmations 

  • “I Wake Up Today With Strength In My Heart And Clarity In My Mind”
  • “Today, I Abandon Any Of My Old Habits and Take Up New, More Positive Ones”
  • “My Business Is Growing, Expanding and Thriving”

Mitch Has Five Minutes in The Evening?

First – What Amazing Things Happened Today? 

  • Yoga Practice Early In The Morning Allowed Me To Tune Into My Body
  • I Met Five People I Never Met Before And I Was Able To Have Them Smile
  • After Almost 34 Years I Told My Wife I Loved Her Again – Because I Do

Second – How Could I Have Made Today Even Better? 

  • Worked More To Meet Five More People I Never Met Before
  • Presented A Talk On Effective Communication To A Group Of 150 People
  • Facilitated The Leadership Game To Three Companies Leadership Team

Third – Who Did I Add Value To Today? 

  • Five People I Never Met Before
  • Two People Who Needed Help And Guidance In Their Career Search
  • Three Potential Coaching Clients During Their No Cost Twenty Minute Call

There you have my examples from yesterday. This is powerful stuff. Try it out.

Make it your own. Do this every day for one week. See what happens. Seriously!
