Do you enlighten and empower your employees?
Do you enlighten your employees with how to set goals?
Do you enlighten them with the importance for them personally and for the organization that they do regularly set goals?
Do you empower your employees to set and create goals that are meaningful to them?
Do you empower your employees to consider how their personal life and their work life will likely improve based upon the goals they create?
My friends, odds are, similar to most other companies and organizations, none of these items are ever discussed at your company!
If they have it’s through a hit and run brief seminar where a few books, posters and pamphlets are left behind. These make their way to the cork board in the break room to eventually be placed in the blue recycling bin.
There’s no further discussion until a year or two or three later when the seminar is presented again. More posters and pamphlets left behind.
This is not enlightening and empowering anyone about goal setting!
