What I’m asking is this:
We all have at least one thing we are working toward, or more than one. It’s possible this one thing is a stretch. We may have doubts!
Doubts in our own ability to achieve it!
Doubts in others we are depending upon to work with us on aspects of it.
Doubts that we just don’t have the time or the money right now to ever see this to the finish line?
Why do we have these doubts and where do they come?
The more we focus on the doubts and the fears, the larger the foothold these doubts and fears obtain in our mind.
Where do they come from though?
Better yet – who cares – kick these doubts out of your mind!
Release them.
Affirm!
Use positive affirmations daily to reinforce positivity.
For example here are three affirmations you may want to use:
“My confidence continues to grow.”
“My setbacks make me stronger.”
“My struggles are opportunities for my growth.”
Here are suggestions on how to implement these in your daily life:
Write each affirmation statement out on its own 3 x 5 inch index card. Place one card by your bathroom mirror so you see it in the morning and at night – at a minimum. Place one by your work area. Place one by your bed stand or night table.
Read the words aloud when you look at the card. Speak the words out loud clearly.
The next day rotate the location of each card.
There are thousands of affirmations for all kinds of topics.
We want to select the words and phrases that will have the most impact and meaning to us.
By saying and believing what we are saying out loud we reinforce positivity. We fill ourselves with the kind of attitude that will get things done.
Most of all be confident in saying your selected affirmations out loud.
If someone hears you, nod and smile to them and continue on your way. As you may be walking along the sidewalk at that time and saying one of your affirmations.
Let me know in the comments what your affirmation statements will be.

Do you know I’m interviewing stroke survivors, their spouse or partner as well?
The purpose is to compile these stories in order to share the information with others. The stories will inspire others, help them with tips for handling what they are going through now and what they may face in the future. It may even become a go to resource for stroke survivors and their families.
