Do you do three things?
That is all I am asking for… what are three specific things done by you on a regular basis pretty much no matter what else is going on, every single day, you will always do these three things?
Are you able to name them right now?
Oh and each of these three things must add considerable value to at least one area on The Compass Of Life. Download your copy of The Compass of Life here.
Each of these areas are reflected in the image – named in no specific order they are:
- Family/Home
- Ethical/Spiritual
- Health
- Financial
- Business/Career
- Cultural/Social
- Educational
- Mindset/Physical
There is way too much, a lack of focus in people today all over the world.
One thing is clear… in a small village in Kenya where there is no running water and the closest water is a 5 km. walk, every day someone is walking with a jug or two – one, two or three times each and every day to fill the jugs up with clean water. They then walk back carrying these jugs filled with water to drink, to wash, to cook and anything else where fresh clean water will be used for. There is no lack of focus. There are no scattered thoughts. There is no water. Someone must get the water each day. Period.
How do we break down our list of things to do into something so basic that it becomes something that we do know we must do every single day no matter what?
As we lead others on our team – how do we instill in them this mindset – here are the basic things that must be done every single day no matter what. Each one of these must have an impact to positively influence our mission and our vision for the organization.
Imagine if each member of the team were asked the question.
What three things does our team need to do each day, no matter what in order to positively influence our mission and our vision for the organization. What would be heard if they were all asked the question?
Yes, these three things may need to change every so often. This must be understood as well. It must be a conscious and thought out decision though not changed because someone doesn’t feel like doing it every single day any longer.
Write out your three things. Speak with your team about each of theirs and where you might go and grow if each person did a different set of three things.
Discuss this with the members of your family.
