Have you ever been to a retail location either food, goods or other and they open up exactly on time, however, it is clear they are not prepared. One worker noting to the other “it’d be so much easier to set everything up if no one came in here.”
Or during a meal having someone hover over you taking away your plate while you are only half way through your meal. To the point you need the table to have a lookout in case anyone sees the server coming back to clear plates of half eaten meals.
How far would you go to give the most to a customer?
Some car dealerships will pickup your vehicle for service from your home or office and then return the vehicle there once the service is completed. Other car dealerships offer a ride service or a loaner car and all for no extra fees. Especially if you exist on new business coming from referrals there is nothing better than someone espousing your superior care and customer service experience with their family, friends and other contacts.
However, this is not the main reason for giving great customer service experiences.
You want your customers to be treated so over the top that they remain very loyal to you and to your business.
Do you know how much you spend to acquire a new customer or client? When you treat each one you have with that extra special treatment it makes them feel good and they keep coming back. This is why customer service is critical to your business.
Take note of all of the touch points in your business with your customers. In person. On the phone. Through email. Social media. Potentially mailings. Do your customers feel good about each of these and are they each a value add experience or are they finding any of these to be annoying.
Do you ask? Do you know?
Take the time to explore these areas as the time and effort sprang will be well worth it.
