3 Specific Steps for Change to Happen

Do you need change to happen?

As discussed in the previous article, in case you want to review it…Need Some Change…

3 Specific Steps for Change to HappenYou are being given three specific steps to take if you want change to happen.

You may find it interesting to know these same specific steps will help you in making change happen in your business or your personal life and if necessary, in both.

In your business, these same three specific steps will help you make change happen if you have 5 employees, 50 employees, 500 hundred employees or more. You will need to follow these three specific steps to get started making change happen and to be successful in making change happen.

There is no cost to you. It’s my gift to you.

All I ask is you follow through with these three steps and stay with the process as your foundation for making change happen.

STEP ONE

Grab a pad of paper as you’re going to need to write out a few items.

What is your purpose in wanting change?

Why do feel change is necessary?

Seriously, take your time and write out everything you have been thinking about?

This is not what we’re looking for –A short statement like – “I know we need to change!”

Write out specifics, issues, problems that identify the need for change.

Now finish this step with the RESULT – What do things look like once change happens?

STEP TWO

Now you will write out what is exactly involved in changing.

Is it equipment, tools, processes – or is it the way certain areas of the business operate or conduct their business – or is it the culture, behavior, communication – or is it the organizational structure, hiring practices or headcount – or is it growth too slow or too fast. These are examples you may have others to write out or these.

Expand on why these exact items are problematic.

Why these exact items must change?

How fast do you want these changes to happen?

How much is it worth to you if there are costs involved?

What will the result be?

What do things look like once change happens?

STEP THREE

Review everything you wrote out.

Now where are you involved in any of these areas?

Write it down – how are you involved?

What will you need to change about anything you do to help make the changes happen?

Write these out and describe.

BONUS STEP

Now share these notes with at least three people.

Preferably in person or on zoom and speak the words to them. Ask for honest feedback. Listen and be open to hearing what the feedback is from each person.

At least one of the people needs to be part of the business or personal area you want to change. The other two people may be mentors or people who know you and you trust them to give you honest feedback. These may be conversations conducted one on one with you.

My friends – these steps, this process works. As you know change happens all the time and often it’s all around us and not within us. Use these steps and you will find great success in making the changes that need to be made happen.

Let me know how you make out. You may contact me here.
