Do you devote time to staying current?
I’m not speaking about news that may not be real or daily soap operas disguised as news. Real factual interviews and stories directly from the source.
You may be thinking, “I barely have time to get everything done each day that needs to get done. No time to weave my way around what else may or may not be going on outside of that.”
Ok fair enough. How about at least connecting daily with one source who you trust to give you the scoop on the items you may care about? You never know what nuggets may appear.
You’re thinking now, “really – I don’t really even care unless it impacts me, my family or my business.”
Ah, now we’re getting somewhere.
Yes, this!
Exactly why you need to devote at least some time to staying current.
You may not really be following everything going on in the stock market. Further you may think what’s going on with AI will ever impact you, your family or your business. (We need to talk about all that soon by the way.)
However, what do you think of these quoted comments:
Liang Wenfeng is the 39 year old engineer who started Deep Seek.
In an interview Liang shared that most technical positions were filled by fresh graduates or people with one or two years of experience. Experience, Liang further stated, was a potential obstacle.
“When doing something, experienced people will tell you without hesitation that you should do it this way, but inexperienced people will have to repeatedly explore and think seriously about how to do it, and then find a solution that suits the current actual situation.”

So experience is bad. No experience is good, even better.
Interesting.
So history doesn’t repeat itself.
Past patterns don’t matter.
Rules, laws and behavior patterns as a sampling of items based on history should be tossed aside? Very interesting.
So hypothetically, a new inexperienced person might think –
“Well I need to solve this problem, how can I get this solved quickly, cheaply and pretty effectively. Why work on it, I’ll just find someone else who closely solved it, take their information and then adjust it to suit my solution.”
Sure that’s innovation.
This is the current market of potential employees we’re talking about.
Stay current and read between the lines.
